About me

A big welcome, my name is Thorsten Hetfeld, I was born in 1969 and from childhood I have had a genetic bone defect with severely deformed bones (polyostatic fibrous dysplasia according to Lichtenstein, also called McCune Albright Syndrome), which cause very severe pain. At 18, the front right iliac crest was transplanted into my thigh, at 20 the left iliac crest, at 23 the rear right iliac crest and at 35 the entire left fibula into the thigh, and everything was permanently fixed with a metal plate and 10 screws. Because of the pain and deformities, I have been prescribed all kinds of medication in the highest dosages, which have also caused a lot of strong and unpleasant side effects such as gastrointestinal, sleep, ... problems and severe depression.
In 2015 I came across the field of cannabis as medicine and was fascinated that we have our own cannabinoid system, the endocannabinoid system, which we can find in almost every cell in our body. I then started to deal with the topic of cannabis as medicine, have been reading about this area every day to date, and then in 2015 I applied with my doctor for an application for an exemption from the BfArM (Federal Institute for Drugs and Medicines) for cannabis as medicine and also received. Because of my great therapeutic success, I have been dealing with the topic of cannabis as medicine since then and I am now said to be very familiar with cannabis as a medicine. I give lectures for doctors, pharmacies, addiction centers as well as for patients.

Your data processed when using our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for its storage ceases to apply, provided the deletion of the same is not in breach of any statutory storage obligations or unless otherwise stipulated below.

Server data

For technical reasons, the following data sent by your internet browser to us or to our server provider will be collected, especially to ensure a secure and stable website: These server log files record the type and version of your browser, operating system, the website from which you came (referrer URL), the webpages on our site visited, the date and time of your visit, as well as the IP address from which you visited our site.

The data will be deleted within no more than seven days, unless continued storage is required for evidentiary purposes. In which case, all or part of the data will be excluded from deletion until the investigation of the relevant incident is finally resolved.

Cookies

a) Session cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies stored on your computer by your browser. These cookies process certain specific information about you, such as your browser, location data, or IP address.

The legal basis for such processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR, insofar as these cookies are used to collect data to initiate or process contractual relationships.

If the processing does not serve to initiate or process a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis is then Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.

When you close your browser, these session cookies are deleted.

b) Third-party cookies

If necessary, our website may also use cookies from companies with whom we cooperate for the purpose of advertising, analyzing, or improving the features of our website.

CBD-FAQ

Thanks to the fact that CBD is not psychoactive, it is legal in most countries around the world. This means that like any other health supplement, it can be bought, bought and consumed without the police having to deal with it, let alone making it punishable.

  1. Unlike the THC, CBD does not produce any signs of addiction or abuse in humans.
  2. So far, no side effects or side effects have been found when using pure CBD.
  3. CBD is usually very well tolerated. So its use is safe for users.
  4. Numerous positive effects on human and animal health are assumed. For example, CBD is said to be neuroprotective (i.e. it protects the nerve cells from structural and functional defects.
  5. Anxiety, antipsychotic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects are also suspected.
  6. Another possible field is the use of CBD to treat drug addiction. Research is just beginning here. It is believed that CBD can help treat various addictions (opiates, cocaine, psycho-stimulants). Even cannabis (the one with a high THC content) and tobacco addiction could have positive effects.

Vertebrates and humans have their own cannabinoid system, the endocannabinoid system. Our body not only produces its own cannabinoids, it has also developed a complete signaling system, the so-called endocannabinoid system. It consists of endocannabinoids, cannabinoid receptors and enzymes. Two endocannabinoids have now been studied very well: anandamide - an analog to THC, and 2-arachidonoylglycerol - an analog to CBD. However, further research is expected to identify more endocannabinoids. So far, 2 receptors have been discovered: CB1 and CB2, which are distributed differently in the body. CB1 receptors are concentrated in the central nervous system, while CB2 receptors are more evenly distributed throughout the body. The enzymes involved in this system are responsible for the correct composition and degradation of the cannabinoids, which ensures optimal interaction in the endocannabinoid system.

The first insights into the function of the cannabinoid system come from the work of a research group led by Dr. Raphael Mechoulam. A documentary about this work has been made and I highly recommend it.

Cannabinoids are a heterogeneous group of compounds that have the ability in common to bind to cannabinoid receptors. These molecules belong to the chemical class of terphenols and are lipid molecules and therefore fat-soluble. z. Currently 3 groups of cannabinoids are known:

• Endocannabinoids: these are formed in vertebrates, including humans, under certain circumstances
• Phytocannabinoids: occur in certain plants (hemp, cannabis, red coneflower, rhombus and certain types of the genera Apiaceae and Brassica as well as in chocolate)
• Synthetic cannabinoids: are made in chemical laboratories

Endocannobinoids are our own (body) cannabinoids. They are produced in the nerve cells in our body and serve as signaling molecules. They play a crucial role in the bioregulation of our body and their tasks can best be described using the following 5 processes: eating, sleeping, relaxing, forgetting and protecting. Every single cell in our body has receptors and is able to detect differences in the cannabinoid concentration in its environment. Certain regions of our brain have a high concentration of cannabinoid receptors, where there is an abundance of CB1 and CB2, which enables our brain to detect very small differences in cannabinoid concentrations. These regulate practically every single process within our body, including fertility, fertilization, breastfeeding, development, immunity, learning, coordination, metabolism, hormone release, cardiovascular system, kidney function ...

Phytocannabinoids are plant-derived cannabinoids that are structurally similar to endocannabinoids and activate the same receptors in our body. They are found in various types of plants, but especially in cannabis sativa. This plant contains more than 140 cannabinoids and a total of more than 1000 bioactive compounds. The best known and best studied are THC and CBD, which are also used in medicine. However, other cannabinoids also show incredible potential (CBN, CBG, CBC ...). More and more studies confirm what has been known in practice for a long time, the best results are obtained with extracts of the whole plant if the full spectrum of cannabinoids, terpenes and other bioactive and inactive compounds is available, the so-called entourage effect.

Synthetic cannabinoids are purely chemical compounds that are manufactured artificially in laboratories. The majority of pharmaceutical preparations contain synthetic cannabinoids, which make them accessible, but experience shows that they are much less effective than cannabinoids in their natural form.

There are many positive properties to report about CBD oil. CBD has been proven to help with a wide range of complaints. Although not officially recognized as a drug, studies have shown that CBD can be useful in a variety of different diseases. These include epilepsy, anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, nausea, psychosis, depression, inflammatory, neurodegenerative diseases and even cancer. But don't just rely on my word - A look at the testimonials on the Internet reveals: CBD oil has long since found a large number of enthusiastic users. The positive effects of the cannabinoid seem to be very far-reaching. The fact that science confirms what many people have already experienced on their own means that the hype surrounding the natural product is growing steadily. Because the active ingredient is proven to be health-promoting and also comes with almost no side effects. CBD oil is particularly popular with people who suffer from chronic pain and inflammatory diseases such as rheumatism. According to clinical studies, the hemp extract works among other things:

  • analgesic
  • anti-inflammatory
  • antibacterial
  • antitumor
  • anticonvulsant
  • antioxidant
  • neuroprotective
  • antidepressant
  • relaxing
  • anxiolytic
  • antipsychotic

CBD oil, which usually has an intense herbal taste, can alleviate symptoms, for example.

No matter how much CBD you consume - it will not make you "high". Unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive, so you can take it without being high. If you smoke CBD-rich cannabis strains, the small amount of THC in it will naturally intoxicate you, but there is no need to worry about using a pure CBD supplement.

Yes, CBD oils can be obtained without a prescription. In Germany, CBD oils without THC and with a content up to > 0.2% THC (full spectrum oil) are allowed.

This question cannot be answered in general, it is difficult to say how much CBD oil should be used because there are a variety of factors that influence this amount. Also for reasons of legislation, I cannot tell you how much CBD oil you should consume or use. Everyone reacts differently and I can only recommend feeling carefully. I recommend starting with 5 percent CBD oil. It is best to drip 3-5 drops under the tongue in the morning and evening for the first few days and leave it in the mouth for a few minutes (the longer the better). Depending on your well-being, the whole thing can be increased to 5 - 10 drops in the morning and evening or you can use a 10 percent CBD oil later. When the CBD oil is consumed under the tongue, the mucous membranes absorb the CBD and transmit it directly through the blood circulation system. Most people notice the “side effects” relatively early and the desired effect is most often felt during the first 14 days of ingestion, if they consume the oil daily.

Very simple - to be able to dose better according to your own personal feeling:

5% CBD means 500 mg CBD per 10 ml hemp oil
10% CBD means 1000 mg CBD per 10 ml hemp oil
20% CBD means 2000 mg CBD per 10 ml hemp oil

Example: 10 drops of a 5% CBD oil correspond to an effect similar to 5 drops of a 10% CBD oil.
As a rule, 3 - 5 drops of 5% CBD oil should be started twice a day and, depending on the sensation, increased to 2 x 10 drops a day or the CBD oil increased for a balanced well-being or inner balance (homeostasis).

Everyone has an individual “tolerance range” when taking cannabidiol. Sometimes just a few milligrams of CBD are enough for one person to achieve the desired effect, while others simply need more to get to this point. We want to make sure that everyone can achieve their individual goal and therefore offer different concentrations. The dominant information on concentration on the respective designer packaging helps you find your way. Beginners are advised to start with small doses. This enables the body to adjust to this new active ingredient and prevents a potential overdose. Especially for beginners, 5% CBD oils have been created and enable a gentle start for the user. For more experienced users, the 10% CBD oil is the perfect supplement for further ingestion. Very advanced users can maintain their individual dose permanently even with higher CBD oil.

In general, CBD is well tolerated and has few to no side effects. CBD may inhibit hepatic drugs. There are also many patient reports that can reduce your remaining medication or even stop taking it after a while. In addition, it can lead to a dry mouth. Blood pressure may drop and drowsiness may be slightly drowsy. We recommend that you always consult the doctor / doctors treating you and the pharmacist before you start taking it.

CBD and all other cannabinoids found in hemp are natural substances and are broken down over time. To prevent and slow this down with CBD oil, we recommend storing it in a cool, dark place. Refrigerator is also suitable for this.

CBD oil can take effect after about 15 minutes when taken orally. The longer you wait with food and drink after oral administration (e.g. CBD oil dripped under the tongue) and the solution is kept in your mouth, the faster the mucous membranes will work.

Only about 80 of the 480 active ingredients contained in CBD oil can be detected in cannabis. These unique active ingredients are called cannabinoids and mainly affect the nervous system as well as the brain. So that it remains clear, only 5 most important cannabinoids are listed here:

CBC: CBC is said to be anti-inflammatory and also has an analgesic effect. It is also said to play an important role in cell renewal.

CBD: The second most common cannabinoid is said to provide relief, especially for chronic pain. Therefore, it is often used for cramps, migraines, arthritis and inflammation, as well as for epilepsy and pain. Studies have even killed the malignant cells in various types of cancer. However, this needs to be pursued further.

CBDA: CBDA is also a cannabinoid that is found in CBD oil. This has an anti-emetic effect and therefore helps excellent against nausea. In cancer, especially breast cancer, this substance is also said to cause the bad cells to be killed.

CBG: Another important ingredient is CBG, a cannabigerol that has an antibacterial effect.

CBN: Cannabinol CBN can also be found in CBD oil, which has a slightly psychoactive effect, but is only found in extremely small amounts in the plants. This substance is responsible for reducing anxiety. It can also lower intraocular pressure.

CBD supports the immune system and contributes to general well-being. CBD docks to the natural cannabinoid receptors in the human body. CB1 receptors are responsible for the control of the central nervous system. CB2 receptors, on the other hand, are responsible for the immune system. Both the nervous system and the immune system are important control systems in the human body that regulate your health.

Clearly - yes! Cannabidiol offers its users relaxation of the nervous system. Civilization diseases such as migraines, asthma, psoriasis, epilepsy, allergies and many other diseases or symptoms, which are also triggered by stress, can be actively and preventively prevented with CBD. The endocannabinoid system is addressed by taking CBD and works by the CBD mainly laying on the receptors CB1 and CB2. This prevents other messenger substances that are indicated and activated by stress from laying on these receptors and thus creates an ingenious defense system to counteract irritation. The endocannabinoid system is present in all mammals and extends over the entire body, i.e. from the entire and peripheral nervous system (more CB2 receptors) and into the brain (more CB1 receptors). It helps the body to regulate its basic functions such as the sensation of pain, appetite, the immune system or reproduction. It also affects our cognitive performance, memory and learning ability. In addition, it regulates a system in the brain that serves to manage stress. Overexcitement of this system can lead to unwanted problems creeping in permanently and the affected people suffering from them and possibly from the above. Become ill. CBD can actively help you to prevent this and offers you various strengths (5%, 10%, 20%) for an individual dosage and intake.

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to make any medical statements about CBD. We recommend doing your own research (there are many links on our site) and consulting with the doctor / doctor treating you and your pharmacist.

There are plenty of studies on the effects of CBD oil. Many doctors are enthusiastic about the therapeutic effects of the oil, but a large number of studies are still required to confirm the effects of the oil through official, scientific findings. However, many consumers of CBD oil have long been convinced of the medicinal effects of the product. The oil helped them to alleviate their symptoms.

Scientifically proven, CBD has a medically significant benefit. For example, CBD is used for tension, inflammation, chronic pain, epilepsy and spasticity, anxiety, depression, MS, Parkinson's and other neurological diseases. However, it should be noted that the clinical effectiveness of CBD has not yet been fully demonstrated. More information about clinical trials can be found at www.clinicaltrials.gov.

Ideally, by taking it regularly and over a longer period of time. This enables the organism to build up the effectiveness of the CBD. As with almost everything in life, small steps should be taken at first in order to master the running properly later. This means that starting with CBD should start with a low dose, which is then intensified to the desired effect. This enables the body to slowly get used to the new active ingredient. How much the dose has to be adjusted depends on the complaints to be treated and the individual. Therefore, no general formula can be created for all people. For this purpose, CBD should not be seen as the only panacea for diseases, but always as a companion to the prescribed therapy.

In view of the fact that it is a natural remedy that has innumerable healing and health-promoting effects and, besides, has little or no side effects, it is definitely worth a try. CBD responds very well to the body's endocannabinoid system and thus provides relief for numerous complaints of all kinds. The steadily growing number of enthusiastic users speaks for itself and shows that the hype about the oil of the hemp plant is definitely justified.

Hemp and marijuana are two different plants, but they belong to the same genus Cannabis Sativa L.

Hemp is cultivated in agriculture and industry, among other things, for the extraction of hemp seeds - these are further processed in bread, muesli, cereals, to oil and much more.

Marijuana / cannabis is grown to benefit from the medicinal effects, which can sometimes be psychoactive. Many patients benefit physically and mentally from a psychoactive effect.

Both substances belong to the group of cannabinoids, but have completely different effects.
THC is the active ingredient that has a psychoactive effect and can cause a kind of “intoxication”. This "intoxication" is described by many patients in the medical field as a minor side effect (dry mouth, dizziness, insecurity, sleepiness, ...), as it is also described in the package insert for many other medications.

CBD is not psychoactive and does not put you into a state of intoxication. CBD can be relaxing, which some people associate with being high.

Cannabis is the whole plant, CBD is an ingredient. CBD is obtained from the cannabis plant and is a so-called cannabinoid. CBD is an abbreviation for the term cannabidiol. The best-known active ingredient from the cannabis plant is THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Both CBD and THC are both cannabinoids. Unlike the THC, however, CBD has no psychoactive effects - so DO NOT go high! That is why you can legally buy food supplements that contain CBD in Germany - provided the THC content is below 0.2 percent - for example on the Internet or in the pharmacy (on order ;-)). In addition to oil, this can also be tea or cream.

Hemp oil is made from the seeds of the hemp and not from the hemp flowers or leaves. It tastes nutty and goes well with salad! Because it is cold pressed and processed to a high quality, hemp oil is also highly recommended: it is full of valuable vitamins, unsaturated fatty acids and minerals. The medically relevant active ingredient CBD is extracted from the FLOWERS of the female cannabis plant and then dissolved in oil (mostly MCT oil). This is how CBD oil is created.

In Germany, CBD products can be purchased from the age of 18.

I have one of the diseases described that CBD is supposed to help with. Where can I find information about clinical trials and can I participate?
All international clinical studies can be found at www.clinicaltrials.gov. The search function makes it relatively easy to find studies. So it is possible to investigate whether and where studies are carried out. We also recommend speaking to the doctor you trust.

Terpenes are the essential oils that are found in cannabis but also in other plants. Terpenes or terpenoids (compound of several terpenes) are responsible for the smell and taste of cannabis. Essential oils of plants are said to have various properties that are the basis of aromatherapy.

As in humans, mammals have the same cannabinoid receptor sites CB1 and CB2 (endocannabinoid system) that are present throughout the body (in the brain, nervous system, organs, glands, digestive tract, skin and tissues). Cannabinoids adhere to the receptors, activate them and at the same time regulate their health.

Assuming the animal gets into stressful situations, is afraid or in pain, the CBD oil for animals can begin to function.

What can CBD-OIL do for pets? It ...
  1. becomes calmer and more relaxed
  2. reduces anxiety and stress levels
  3. helps relieve chronic pain
  4. improves the neurological functions
  5. makes the animal more mobile and improves its activities
  6. promotes healthy digestion
  7. favors the immune system
  8. provides valuable comfort in the last hours of life
